After evaluating several clamp-on meters available from Amazon, I selected this one. When testing it out for the first time all it did was beep. The screen would not even light up. I figured, OK, the battery must be dead. The battery factory-installed in the unit was --badly-- beat up with multiple dents in it. WTF? I tried a fresh battery, but all I got was beeping and the screen digits did not light up. The unit was DOA, and clearly there was a problem at the factor that passed thought quality checks. I just discovered this problem before the Amazon 30-day return period was up. If you order one of these, check it immediately !!!
