The trigger for this tools is not a separate movable part but rather part of the battery cover. The idea is you push (squeeze) the battery cover hard enough until the plastic cover comes in contact with a micro switch. All the while the cheap plastic parts are squishing around in your hand making a terrible creaking/groaning sound. I think this is the cheapest feeling tool I have ever used. It does measure temperature though and hence the 2 star rating rather than 1 star.
